I've never been a fan of the whole: I've been idle so my character will be on vacation/sick/another planet until I get home post. Still, with my extended absence lately, and Tiriana's own position and influence on the Weyr, it seemed necessary to account for that /some/how. Thus, a vignette, beginning some indeterminate time ago, and concluding at the present day.

I'm an idiot. Originally I left in the handy guide names for the slots I was going to put people in! Whatever, it's after midnight.
1. It's too quiet, when you're not around.
2. I like you. Where by like, I clearly mean: will torment at any opportunity because who else am I ever going to get to win against this much?
3. You like me. It's kind of weird, in a good way. (But let's not go making a habit of it.)
4. It wasn't supposed to turn out like this, but it's been too long to fix it now.
5. You'll win. Next time.
6. Sometimes I hate you, and sometimes I just feel sorry for you. It's usually for the same reasons.
7. Some days, I want to ask what she was like, really, but then I realize: you wouldn't know, either.
8. Someday, one of us is going to die.
9. I'm sorry about that whole business a couple of turns back. Even I can't really blame you.
